I noticed that the store page on the Distant Guns site was updated yesterday (12th June)
with the EULA and returns policy for the game. A (dead)link has also been added to "Buy the game", perhaps our ship is about to come in...

I may have to put it in my will that I am cryogenically frozen and brought back to life when it is released

Well, I can tell you what I've been doing...

In the last two weeks or so, I have only spent about 5 hours on the game itself. Little things, mostly. I fixed a bug in the logic that returns from battles to the campaign game, rewrote the shadow code when it became apparent that breaking up the ship models into smaller sub assemblies to support damage geometry also broke up the original shadow logic, did a minor speed optimization today...

Most of my time recently has been spent in helping set up the merchant side of the business and making sure that copy protection is as friendly as possible. I spent about a day's worth of effort troubleshooting a bug on one tester's machine that actually doesn't affect the release version of the game (long story, having to do a side effect of changes to the game that only affect folks with installations older than December of last year - I wanted to be sure I understood the issue to make sure it couldn't pop up again in the future)

The game itself is basically finished. The holdup right now is actually on the credit card processing / sales server end, and those issues are being cleared as quickly as possible.

I have sent the cryogenic freezer back as this news looks more promising. All that money we have waiting to be hurled your way and you cannot get your hands on it, what a dilemma
