Contact has been made by the leading reconnaissance forces of both sides. After several minutes of fighting, Canadian scouts backed by tanks forced the seemingly lighter armed East German units to withdraw (partly because the OC placed the East Germans in somewhat disadvantageous positons during scenario setup :upset: ).

Well, no screenshots will be forthcoming. :cry:

It is amazing how closely intermingled the units were during some of the early fighting and any screenshots would disclose information on the other sides forces that might otherwise be too revealing.

It can be reported that, civilians living in the area have alledgedly seen vapor trails streaking through the sky over the combat zone, apparently coming from the east. No word yet on which side they belong too or if they have been engaged by any air defense units.

More information will be released as soon as it is available. :devious:

Towns of Stritzling and Pleinting have been cleared of Canadian forces after inflicting heavy casualties on them while brave Russian units suffered three men losses in the intense fighting. One aircraft was lightly damaged but superior Russian training paid off as the pilot was able to bring the Mig home.

It is time to show the fleeing NATO forces that the Warsav Pact will win the day!

Report from the front line:

Brave Canadian forces withdraw from the Towns of Stritzling and Pleiting as the Soviet army pushes further. There are numerous reports of the Russians killing civilians in those areas, conducting mass-rape and pillaging the homes of innocents. It is our duty to stop these war crimes and bring those responcible to justice (Basically, have all the Soviet commanders face the firing line :D )

Meanwhile, aware of the Soviet crimes in other towns, a troop of Canadians holds on to Aspertham, with a promise that no civilian will come to harm while there are any able fighting men left in the settlement. Incredulously, they are commanded by a Russian Officer, now a citizen of a western nation, who loves his homeland but nevertheless vows to fight the communist state so that Russia can once again be restored to its Imperial glory in the future. Well, i guess such an act against the Soviet Goverment will be considered an act of treason, which is likely to result in termination of his Russian citizenship, and the sending of his relatives to the GULAG camps. :OHNO: Our prayers are with him and his family.
