View Full Version : Att: scenario designers
Gentlemen,
I don't know what is your designing status, so please just post here what is your progress and what do you plan to do within the next 20-30 days.
Concerning me:
I am currently finishing the 1st chapter Platamon (3 missions) of ToO_Greece and then I will proceed with 3 more chapters Plataies, Thermopylae and Corinth (2 + 3 + 2 missions).
So far, ToO_Epirus (Kalpaki chapter: 4 mssions) is ready and with the addition of the Platamon chapter there are already done a total of 7 scenarios.
I estimate to design another 7 scenarios by the end of the month.

The first scenario "Assault on Maleme Airfield" is done. Second scenario "Counter Attack at Maleme" will be ready for playtesting in 2 weeks.
After that I still need to draw 2 maps for the last 3 scenarios and build the scenarios. 2 months of steady work on my own. 5 scenarios total.:)
Have started work on Rimini Airfield map. This is a 160x100 map (horizontal x verical) from wich you can "cut" appropriate submaps for the the Rimini Chapter. I think I'll be able to post a basic map in the next few days. RL has rendered my "ANZAC schedule" useless time and time again. I'm so sorry about this guys!:upset: :hurt:

I've been looking into the North Africa segment, progress has been slow.
The Next 20-30 days I should be able to pretty much finish my part of Africa.

I'm having major computer problems and haven't been able to use the internet for the past few days. But I should be able to get in enough time to finish one or two scenarios in North Africa.

Hello everyone.
The reason I haven't been online at all is because my parents aren't letting me use the computer. Right now I've snuck on without their knowing, but really, I'm so sorry that I can't contribute to the ANZAC project anymore for the time being (I'm supposed to be grounded forever, but they do this all the time and will probably forget about it after a month or so as usual). Go ahead and do whatever you want with the maps and scenarios I've contributed.
Cam,
Have you considered to replace those 3 in AA static guns with 2 in AA flak units since the 3 in can't ber used for AA purpose.
Also, did you test the scenario with the addition of 1300 points core force?
cheers,
Pyros

Achilles,
Sorry, No I haven't. RL has been catching up with me and I am considering dropping my design work for the rest of the summmer, or at least narrowing it down considerably. I posted to Shrapnel today about those 3inch guns, I didn't want them firing at air targets.
I will do the testing for the 1300pt Core force on the weekend. But I will not have the Counter attack scenario ready for the end of July deadline.:upset:

Cam would you like to prepare the MALEME chapter for the next version release (instead of just a realising a single battle)?
Currently the campaign is finishing at the end of ToO_Greece / chapter: Corinth Canal.
Next battle should be the first of ToO_Crete: which will probably be the Maleme battle that you have designed.
The only problem is that the campaign mechanism is using a rather complicated system that navigates through several 1-turn path selection scenario before the player may eventually play the Maleme scenario, and all this process must be done for the Whole ToO_Crete (Boost screen etc...).
But if you like we may simply attach the Maleme battle as BONUS battle after the ToO_Greece and then we will rework everything concerning the ToO_Crete (still the player will have to continue from the last savegame of the Corinth chapter).

Yes,
That sounds good. I have playtested with a 1300 pt core like you asked. It works well. The player will have to make a hard decision during deployment between deploying in defense of point 107 and taking heavy core casualties or deploying to the rear to conserve the core and having the counter attack to retake pt 107. The all infantry German force did not have a problem dealing with the Core armour units. In fact in my Computer vs. Computer test the entire core force was destroyed. I will email the files I have to you shortly.
Cam
Ok,
Cam, please send me the Scenario files for this campaign battle before the deadline of the next 24 hours (28 July 2006, 06:30 GMT+0; London time).
I assign you scenario SLOT 385 for sending me this scenario.
One very IMPORTANT thing that you should do is to make all the player's units as FIX units because otherwise these units won't be present to the campaign scenario.
cheers,
Pyros
Cam,
I saw that you have sent me some scenario files marked as scenario 401, but I wasn't able to DL them, so please make a ZIP and include there both files (otherwise I won't be able to DL them).
cheers,
Pyros
Cam,
Please hurry up and send me the zip file because there are left only 8 more hours to reach the deadline!!!

Pyros,
Both my attempts to email it ended with a delivery failure.
Anyway I will post it here, hopefully you will get it in time.
Cam
Hi Cam,
I checked your files and perhaps they need fixing.
Probably You have forgot to make thm FIX (they all appear as AUX).
Also have you set the correct deployment margin (shift + !) ?
cheers,
Pyros
p.s I will have to fix all units from AUX to FIX, but I need that you confirm this.
Hi Cam,
Perhaps you have also missed to attach text description?
I will make use of the stock scenario text description.
cheers,
Pyros

This is all Greek to me!:D
Sorry Pyros, but I have never designed a scenario for use in a Campaign before, I don't know how to make a unit [Fix], Or how to set the deployment margin.
Cam
Ok, Cam! :smoke:
Don't worry, I took care of the details!
cheers,
Pyros
