HMS Belfast has got an exhibition on the battle of Jutland called 'ghosts of Jutland' running between June 2006 to June 2007, so if you're in London with some time to spare......

"Battle of Jutland re-enactment by the Wargamers Society Battle of Jutland re-enactment by the Wargamers Society
10 Jun 2006
Location: HMS Belfast
The Wargamers Society will be onboard HMS Belfast on Saturday 10 June, to recreate the ‘Run to the South’ and the sinking of the German battlecruiser SMS Pommern."

Interesting. It's tough to recreate sinking of a ship that never existed :-D

Well, that's at least better than the "New 2nd Generation Wave Gemetry just added to Distant Guns!" headlining the SES DG page (http://www.stormeaglestudios.com/public/html/se_distantguns.html) :clown:

I mention this in hopes that while they're fixing the typo, they'll update the page in other ways, such as opening the store :)

 Too right! I hope Norm and Co. are better at customer relations once the game is out than they have been during development.

Heheh, you spellchecked the typo when you quoted it :D

It's annoying they're not in here more (remembers back to the pre-release days of the original Combat Mission and its official boards, when the BTS crew were always posting). It's been over 2 months now since the DG page itself was updated, and about a months since the last newsletter.

Seems to me, they tried to be more forthcoming, but every time they started to say something, some damn troll would jump in and start a fight over copy protection. So eventually, the ESS guys just quit showing up here, which is disappointing. There are better ways to handle trolls, which don't adversely impact those of us who are actually interested in the game.

I wish Norm would stop tinkering with it and release the damn thing soon :D

As a perfectionaist he is probably busy 3D modelling the individual coal lumps right now, could be a long wait chaps

Or maybe in the last build smoke from captain's pipe did not align perfectly with the direction of the wind...

Will the various sorts of tobacco and their influence on his performance be modelled correctly, I wonder?
