Which title would you guys like to see used for the next tournament? A simple majority rules will get it.

This is still a ways away, but it takes some planning to bring together, so want to at least start thinking about it.

I voted for Shiloh.... Think this will be a great game for the next tourney :smoke:

I like the armies in Gettysburg, so that's my vote.

I voted Shiloh similar to Lezgo as have had for a while and still not played (only play PBEM and only so many of those you can have going at one time).

To be honest though I wouldn't mind which title was selected for next tourney.

I wouldn't mind either Shiloh, or Corinth.

Gettysburg because I only have it and Peninsula.

Shiloh - lets battle in the West this time.

Well it looks like Shiloh has taken the lead on this one hands down. I'm not a big Western Theater fan, but I guess I'll be designing a few scenarios soon...

Won't plan on starting this until a month or so after the current tourney ends...give everyone a chance to catch their breath.

Give yourself a rest, Rich. I know I'd be fine playing some of the scenarios that came with the game.

I haven't even checked out any of the scenario's in Shiloh. The way I see it though is even if the smaller ones are unbalanced (no idea if they are or not) the fact they are played as mirrors kind of negates the unbalanced issue anyway.

I have really enjoyed trying to come up with a strategy with the sides that have the difficult task in the current tourney, quite challenging and fun.

Of the people that voted, Shiloh carried the vote.

So, how about choices for scenarios to be used?

Rich, if you want to use already existing scenarios I would suggest to take a look at:

064. Encounter at Thompson Station; Feb 25, 1862
078. A Divisional Clash; March 18, 1862
113. Full Force at Mill Springs; January 19th, 1862 (sunny weather)

Stew,

It will be Shiloh, as the first Tourney used Gettysburg, and the second is using Peninsula.

We've got at least a month till the next one starts, if not more...so there's plenty of time to get the game in hand before things kick off.

Thanks for the suggestions Alex...what do the rest of your guys think? Those Shiloh scenarios work for you??

Thanks again Alex, looking at these scenarios I think they will be good for the tourney.

If anyone has any complaints they should speak now or forever hold their peace! :D

Looks like an interesting and fun selection.

Alex already handed me one whooping in Thompson Station. The OOB has around 8,900 Yanks vs 7,900 Rebs. But, in that number, the Rebs have 1,400 cav to 0 cav and 22 guns to 6 guns. With the only victory hex behind Rebel lines, it makes for an interesting challenge for the Yanks!

Also all Union regiments are armed with 5-range rifles while 2/3 of Rebel infantry is armed with 2-range muskets. It is a difference.

Just to put everyone's mind at ease, we'll be playing these scenarios "mirrored" - so both side will have an equal chance at victory.
