Anybody who wants a really juicy game, go and find the scenario developed about Sicily, this is nothing like the luke warm effort in the toaw-acow games ready stock (not to say that some of the games that come with toaw are not great, there are beauties there, but the Sicily is a dud).

This one is juicy, and with hotseat or pbm a real close call... Also events are plentyful, allied ships go, and italian troops desert, also there is no abundance of landing spots, so it's not easy to get landed, and one has to think about how to go arround this problem, weather to land on hexes that are very much appart, or choose a fiew and push up the later units as follow ups.

The allied airforces have mysteiously about a quarter or a third NOT under the allied players control, they fight and re-organize ect along with your troops, but you can only fiddle with the losses level of them, otherwize another entity controls them, and I do not mean the 'airforce leader' that I never use.

I have only played this against the pc, but I can see that agaisnt a human, it would be hell, real hell, and with my beginners mistakes, at least one beach head would have been distroyed by the axis.

It's interesting as the Germans gain posture and slowly start to get better supply, and more troops, also news from Russia come in all the time giving a really good historic feel. This and Okinawa are my favourite new scenario's that I have played since, well.. A long time! Thanks for this great scenario!!!
