Combat Campaigns are true team wargaming. These are not ladders or the usual elimination bracket style tournaments that most wargamers are probably familiar with. These are team games on an Operational Level using SPWAW (and eventually Combat Leader) for fighting out the Tactical Battles. Replacements, artillery, supply, naval units and airpower can play an important role in these games. There are command structures with commanders leading their unit through the entire campaign in many battles. There are Regimental Commanders in charge of their Battalion Commanders who may be in charge of several Company Commanders.

The best way to get an idea of what we are doing is to go to the currently running Red Snow Combat Campaign Website (http://www.warfarehq.com/steel_panthers/red_snow/red_snow.shtml) and have a look. This link will take you to the front page of a current Combat Campaign, which involves a Soviet Winter Offensive in late December 1942.
