Is the patch on this site the most up to date one? I just installed ACOW and the patch from here yesterday. It was running fine until I tried to open a few scenarios from around the different sites like RD and war gamer, Inchon, Sealion, Korea 50-53. They wouldn't show up in my scenario directory when I ran the game, is it the patch or the scenarios?
I really ran into trouble when I downloaded the Berlin crisis 61 scen, it wasn't a scen but a ACOW application and opened separately, it opened the scens that I mentioned above but all of the sudden my initial ACOW program reverted to it's pre patch bugs like not being able to run certain scens like Crete and France 1940. Also the air assistant wasn't showing in my initial game but it would show in the Berlin 61 application. What an I doing wrong if anything?
I uninstalled everything and reinstalled the game but won't install the patch or download any scenarios untill I get some expert opinion here

If you could give us more information about how you installed the patch and the downloaded scenarios it could be easier to solve your problems.

Here's just a general explanation:

The patch from this site is the one everyone uses and there should be no difference between the 1.04 patch from here and from elsewhere. There is a later patch but noone uses it, i think there was aproblem with calculating armour battles (don't know exactly - one of the elder members of this ladder might..).

If you have put the downloaded .sce files into the folder "graphics" in your toaw-cw directory and the .sce files are really for ACOW they should appear in the scenario list.

Some scenarios come with a modified .exe file. Usually the database/equipment is modified. You must extract the application from the downloaded zip file to the toaw-cw folder and the .sce file to the scenario folder as described above. If you want to play i.e. berlin crisis 61 double click the application and start the scenario. You should not play other scenarios with such a modified exe.

Why exactly the air staff assistant is missing or other scens even don't open with it i can't tell.

I added a screenshot how your fresh installed ACOW folder (+nocd patch) should look like. Hope it helps.

Ok, I'll stick to this patch if it's the standard

When I unzipped the scen to my scen folder the graphics were in the scen folder too, usually I just move them to the graphics folder, I don't think I did this time

I wasn't really familiar with the modified exe so I think that's where the big problem was, I opened other scenarios with the Berlin 61 app, not realizing it was a modified exe

I found it kind of funny, everyone talks about the air assistant and turning it off but it never showed up in the normal ACOW just in the modified Berlin61 exe

Ok I'll reinstall the patch and be more mindful of modified exe's in the future

They aren't too much trouble once you get used to them. Most such .exes don't require any additional files to run- you just double click it instead of the standard Opart 300 CW.exe.

The Berlin Crisis zip file does include three additional graphics files, but these are not essential for play.

Having a modified .exe in the TOAW folder shouldn't affect the game unless you're running it.

Yeah, I think I caused my own trouble on that one, I opened other scens with the modified exe. I just got the game yesterday and I'm pretty green about this stuff. Any ideas why the scens without the modified exe's wouldn't open?

Nope. Normally you should at least be able to open the scenarios, they'd just have some wrong equipment.

Would running the 2 simultaneously give me problems? For some reason the normal COW just went back per patch glitches, after reinstallation it's back o normal
