I'm trying to come up with a good use for the Brandenburgers in FitE 5.0. My first thought was to grab the bridges I'll need for the advance. What do you guys thinK??

Hmmm... don't have time to go into specifics on strategy of FiTE 5.0 - that would take too much time and I want to play my turn... You will read all about German strategy in FiTE in next BLOODSTAR AAR called FAVORITE GENERAL (working name).:devil:
BUT, regarding para's I drop one near Wilno (or he moved there) to surround some unit, next is used to surround Grodno (86, 132) but really good are two that were droped in Pripyat marches - near PINSK. One is guarding bridge at hex 102, 148 and other is guarding bridge at 101, 151.
I have noticed that on some axis of attack you didn't covered that much space - Pripyat is one of them - by droping paras there you can reach with your units your paras (on turn 2) and voila you are deep in the Pripyat marches - good move strategically hehe. Hitler would be proud but credits also goes to Snefen from FiTE - it's his idea but I was also droping paras there but not two I think, only one in my previous game. I also now have sent one panzer regiment into marches which is different then my previous opening.
FiTE is really great scenario and one of my favorite as well.

IIRC there's no great shortage of fast-moving engineer assets in Fire in the East so preventing the Russians blowing the bridges isn't so much of an issue. Trouble is that the units are so small that they can't really be relied upon to hold when pressed by major Russian forces; perhaps the best thing is to plonk them next to awkward Russian reserves, and make them choose between diverting a whole division to driving the Brandenbergers away and having to pay disengagement penalties.
