Who listens to TOAW in-game music when they play?

*sheepishly raises hand*

If not, what do you listen to (if anything)?

TOAW music? My wife would hit me with a shoe. Besides, Donovan; (Hurdy Gurdy Man, Mellow Yellow ect.) is far more intertaining. I also like to keep up on current events by keeping FOX NEWS (fair and balanced) on the tube unless Jay Leno is on.
Once in a great while, if nobody else is home, I'll play the music just for old times sake.

Donovan! I would have voted for "Circus" as a favorite. Also enjoy Foghat, vintage Fleetwood Mac, and Emerson, Lake & Palmer.

Football and NASCAR are also good background sound.

Actually, anything is better than the repititious shooting noise native to the TOAW disk.

The music and the SoundFX were disabled immediately after install, I really don't like them ;)

My music: Industrial (not the Rock-Industrial a la Nine Inch Nails but the electronic version), Noise, EBM, Electronica, IDM, SynthPop, let me guess, I' the only one here on this board listening to this kind of music :)

For the longest time, I listened to the program music, but for the last year or so I usually listen to a cd, some mp3's or plug my FM tuner into the "line in" port. Music sounds great through my Klipsch ProMedia speakers, and depending on what mood I'm in, anything from Classical to Reggae, Swing to Bluegrass, Rock, or my perennial favorite Instrumental Surf Music. When I'm playing at work, I don't have any music playing, though.

I leave the sound effects on though, as I still love to hear the trucks and tanks rolling along, the trains on those long hauls through the mountain passes, trackless wastes and steppes, planes rebasing, and of course, the combat. I listen to the combat, because then I know which battles are taking too many rounds to resolve before I even get detailed combat results box popping up. Adds to the tension, and excitement of the game... ;)

Oh...and who could go without the "Hurrah, hurrah!" when you rout the enemy...? :p

I always thought of it as "Yowza, yowza, yowza!" which made it even better for me. Right now my sound is broken though.

I probably have some old sound cards laying about the house and garage, if you need one. Of course, though working, they're probably not worth the gas that you'd spend driving down here to pick them up.

You could get a new one for 5-10 dollars from Frys.

Then again, if we ever get around to doing that El Torito run, it would give me an excuse... ;)

I hope my sound-blaster audigy isn't busted. I think I'm just too lazy to figure out what's wrong. I'm pretty darn sure I don't have my Klipsch Promedias  plugged in wrong. And I reinstalled the drivers for the Audigy plus the XP patch. I can hear some of the windows sounds very faintly occasionasly when I try to troubleshoot. But I'm also getting a 'CPU is invalid or has been changed' message when I boot up that I have to F1 past. I've got the wife convinced that I can have a new computer. That'll be something worth an EL Torito's trip to celebrate!

Lucky you. I was almost set to splurge at the end of the year and build a new box, but the wife "convinced" me that we needed a new bedroom set (http://www.furnituretraditions.net/bookcase_headboard.asp#)...

Of course, the demo bedroom is twice as big and much more well-lit and uncluttered than our own, but the link will give an idea of the set (the picture at the top left).

The fruits of that new bedroom set might warrant a toast at El Torito's also.

Actually, this error is usually pretty easy to fix. YOu just need to go into the BIOS (usually hit del key instead of F1 to get in). Then go to your CPU settings and make sure they match whatever CPU you have in there. Of course, if you are bucking for a new PC that is a nice error to have pop up every time.

"Honey, our CPU is on the fritz...and THAT thing could go at any time!"

I listen to electronica a LOT, in fact I listen to Live365 radio station called ethnotechno.com 8 hours a day every day at work. It is a mix of techno by Asian and Arabian artists.

Also listen to true Industrial, trance, dance, 80s British "New Wave", and many other non-top 40 genres. :D

Dinousaur calling :D I generally listen to 80's Rock music whilst I am playing - Scorpions, Iron Maiden and UFO, Iron Maidens "The Trooper" all ways seems appropriate :cheeky:

well, try http://www.cyberage.cx (EBM-Industrial-Electro), they have several hours of radio shows archived in acceptable quality (96kbps mp3), mostly less-/unknown bands but usually good music nevertheless :)
