Europe Aflame 6.0 vs PO Allies

Probably a really stoopid noobie question but.... I am playing Europe Aflame 6.0 ( against Allied PO) am at turn 7. Just took Addie Adeba in Abisinnia.
1) I just got 2 new units, a fortress unit & a disband me plse 2 unit?? I disbanded it on a saved game, but got a big friendly casualty hit & no apparant benifit. Am I supposed to disband it immediately or what??
2) The recent news says in the first 38 turns I have preliminary campaigns against Abissinia & Spain in the civil war. As of turn 8 I have no units to fight in Spoain. Do I use the Italian units in Abissinia or will the new units show up in Europe??

I think that scenario is called "War in Europe 6.0" - you might want to double check that. It is definitely not called Europe Aflame 6.0 or else I just slept through 3 versions of it! :D
