View Full Version : Victory levels
Hello everybody. A recent game of mine has ended with a crashed victory counter. We have calculated the total VL by hand but do not know how to translate this into a victory level. Can anybody help please :o

I don't know the %s either but you can find General Staff's victory point converter program in the download section I believe.
It'll do the math for you as long as you know the total VPs

i think you will have a problem for the losses penalties because the converter doesn't do anything about it

from a much more experienced voice than me .....
Total the number of on-map VPs. Determine the margin of victory (or defeat) in VPs.
The boundary between draw/marginal is 20% of the on-map VP total.
The boundary between marginal/substantial is 40% of the on-map VP total.
The boundary between substantial/overwhelming is 60% of the on-map VP total.
So, for example, if there are a total of 2000 VPs on map, then a margin of victory of less than 400 is a draw, less than 800 is marginal, less than 1200 is substantial, and 1200 or more is overwhelming.
VPs from casualties and special VP awards don't affect the boundaries, only the margin of victory.

The converter will tell you what the victory levels are. After that just calculate what the VP level is at the end of the match and look upo what victory level that puts one in.
