In a scenario where AOwPI is controlling aircraft formations, do the aircraft formation Objective Tracks really make a difference?
If aircraft formations are given objectives such as bridges, concentration points or bridges will the AOwPI aircraft attack (or defend) these objectives preferentially?

Not that I've been able to determine. In my Golan Heights 1973 scenario I try to make the Syrian P.O. repeat the historical air attacks against Nafekh on the 1st day by setting it as objective 1. Unfortunately the air formations seem to have a life of their own and either do nothing, or go off attacking the Israeli air base at Ramat David.
I haven't been able to get air units to attack specified objectives in a systematic manner (I have the same experience with the Egyptian AF under P.O. control in Suez Canal 1973.) :(

Just like in real-life.
