Crete - part of Balkans

Is Crete considered a Greek isle and therefore, part of the Balkans?

I suppose that it is, technically. Presumably you're wondering how elastic the Rumanians or someone similar can be?

If it's a definite ruling that's required, then Crete and Rhodes (but not Malta, Gibraltar or Cyprus) are part of Greece, and as Greece is part of the Balkans, units normally restricted to that area could be used to attack and garrison the Greek islands.

As far as I'm aware the Bulgarians stayed on the mainland, while it was German and Italians that were used on the islands. The Hungarians and Rumanians were too busy in the East, or glaring at each other in Transylvania.
