Some of the details that are known about Armed-Assault right now hint that a persistent universe might be a possibility. If it could be done, would you like to see this? Players could jump into a game day or night and be part of the battle.

Was this the one that was the followup to Total Annihilation or Operation Flashpoint?

Both were very good of course.

Both were very good of course. As I understand it, Codemasters owns the title Operation Flashpoint, which was developed by Bohemia Interactive. Bohemia is now working on a similar title called Armed Assault.

I think it will more or less be Operation Flashpoint 2. We're working on getting you additional details.

Yes, a very nice game, open ended and so forth. I ended up getting the 'Gold version', which included the expansions.

The challenge I had was that the character movement was very awkward compared to other FPS.

The open endedness made up for a lot though, so this is one game that I've had on my radar for some time.

Just got the names mixed up.

Yes, I think it would be interesting to have a persistent world for AA.

I don't think it's a persistent world in the way you normally think of it. By persistant I think they mean that there can be MP games that last for days, with people coming and going, but not necessarily persistant in that it's a living world.

But, it remains to be seen - we're still waiting for more info. Very little is actually known about the game outside of a lot of outdated screenshots.
