In case some yof you haven't seen this yet . . .

We've been talking about this for a while, but the changes I have told you about are very close to being implemented.

As some of you have already correctly guessed, Xtreme-Gamer is indeed a big part of our plans. Within the next few days you will see the entire site and all of its content moved over to www.xtreme-gamer.com (http://www.xtreme-gamer.com/). The old SZO URL, www.strategyzoneonline.com (http://www.strategyzoneonline.com/forums/../), will continue to function, however, it will bring you to Xtreme-Gamer. This will give eveyone a chance to update their bookmarks and links. After a few weeks, the www.strategyzoneonline.com (http://www.strategyzoneonline.com/forums/../) URL will begin pointing to the revised SZO site, which will be sub-site of Xtreme-Gamer, and will be oriented toward hardcore military material. Just to be clear, Xtreme-Gamer.com will be our new primary operation. The dedicated "game sites" that we currently have (such as the ASL Zone and TacOps Zone) will stay right where they are.

The only thing that will change on the forums is the logo and the URL, everything else -- including WARS -- will remain exactly as it is. The forum URL will change from www.strategyzoneonline.com/forums (http://www.strategyzoneonline.com/forums/../forums) to www.xtreme-gamer.com/forums (http://www.xtreme-gamer.com/forums). There will be some additional forums coming in later as well.

The old company, StrategyZone Online, LLC is no more. Xtreme-Gamer, LLC is the official title of the new company that was formed some time ago.

When the design team is ready to make the transition, the entire site will be offline for a short period of time. Please bear with us while we port in all the old content and quality control the whole thing to ensure there are no problems.

You will also notice the new site will have some new areas that are a little lacking in content at the moment. These areas will spin up rapidly and you will see content start to come in soon enough.

This transition will require nothing of you whatsoever, save that you update your bookmarks. I would ask that the webmasters among you please update your links to us. Your patience while we implement these changes is much appreciated. We're looking forward to bringing you some great new content in the near future!
If anyone has any questions please speak up and I will try to answer as best I can. :smoke:

Nothing stays the same forever, that which never changes usually grows stale, becomes old and dies.

I usually find it peculiar when something on the internet remains unchanged after 3 years to be honest.

Mike,

How is this going to interfere with the ANZAC project?
Can you be more precise about this off-line period?
Any chance of losing links and data?

cheers,
Pyros

For the most part, he Forums and WARS won't be down. Just the main web site. You can start using the new URL ( www.xtreme-gamer.com/forums (http://www.xtreme-gamer.com/forums) ) now if you prefer. If at any time the forums go offline there should be announcement posted at the top of the screen in red.

In case some of you were wondering . . YES, changes are being made to the forums and the XG site. It will probably take a couple days at least for all the new changes to be finalized.

If you can't find something please let me know.

Hmm, I was just a little shocked when I arrived at the page today.
Guess I missed the previous messages about a change as I was always directly jumping to the SP section ;)

I do not manage any more to reach Steelpanthers zone. I seek under Games sites but there is nothing any more. Did Steelpanthers zone disappear?

I do not manage any more to reach Steelpanthers zone. I seek under Games sites but there is nothing any more. Did Steelpanthers zone disappear? It's a side effect of the recent domain name change. Once everything is completed, it should be back up and accessible.
