Was Quake IV a letdown for you?

Some people have expressed that Quake IV simply did not live up to their expectations for the series. These people usually say the single player campaign was not as innovative or fun as Half-Life 2, and the multiplayer was generic. I also heard some complaints about the graphics.

Were you satisfied with Quake IV?

I loved it. Especially the twist in the story line. It might not be as fun as Halflife but I sure enjoyed being back on Strogos again. For me, this was a much better game than Doom3*...


*Too repetitive and continuous monstie teleports behind you gets tired real quick. At least in Quake IV you can use decent tactics...

But I must say, I have no idea how it could be as innovate as HL2 in gameplay. I mean, moving more boxes around then an inventory worker at Wal-Mart is soooooo innovative. :rolleyes:

i really liked the game up until you become a strogg. i had the same problem with this game as i did doom 3, it just gets boring after awhile, but boy is it pretty!
