Vote on Next Combat-Campaign Theater - WinSPWW2 ? ?

This was originally posted on the XMB Board that crashed before converting to this PHP Board. Unfortunatley I lost everyones previous vote and comments.

That being the case I am asking visitors and current participants in the Crimean Campaign to voice their opinion on what theater the next Combat Campaign should cover.

There seems to be a majority of votes for Italy and then France 1940. Is there any particular part of the Italian Campaign that interests most such as the action at Sicily, Anzio, etc. What about a standard tournament covering that time frame?

OK gentlemen. I am starting to put together materials for the next Combat Campaign using SPWAW 8.0. Get your votes, ideas and suggestions noted here on this thread. I have a few already but nothing definate. Lets see what appeals to the masses and go from there.

HINT: I have been having this urge to do something that includes the island of Malta in the Med :D

Didn't the original Mega Campaign put out by Nova Star cover Anzio...or was that Anvil or was it Sicily? LOL, so long ago I forgot. I do remember all those 3.5" disks though :)

I'm DL'n 8.0 as I type and may even reinstall my LV (assuming 8.0 fixes the crashes) I recall something about more scenarios being created for LV as the game map showed so much more to do than what could be done...at that time.

If you do something from Italy I would like to see something on the pursuit north from Rome to the next defensive line. Would still have all that hilly/mountainous terrain but not have to face the fortified lines, or something involving Anzio and the breakout.

Now that WinSPWW2 is out, is there interest in a . . future . . Combat Campaigns using that game version?

What about incorporating a naval component to some degree, even if only on a small scale?

WW2 doesn`t seem to be my better era, but still.....

Naval component, could be interesting, not sure how it could be implemented.

Win SPWW2 is better to do a combat campaign with, because its better than WAW, and due to it being quite new people are still experimenting with units and dont know the pro's and cons of each of them, which will make for a more balanced gameplay for both opposing sides.

The battle of Kursk would probably make a very good Combat Campaign.

I would be interesed in a Kursk campaign..........you would have to give some help to the German forces though or it would be very difficult for them.

What about a mid war (42-43) North Africa what-if campaign based on Axis victory at El Alamein German/Italian and subsequent penetration beyond the Suez Canal and into the Middle East/Syria?

What about the Russo-Finnish war prior to Hitlers invasion? I believe it was in the 1940's or so.
