Gents,
I've been in touch with Rich and Ben about a potential 1776 Tourney sometime after Easter (likely starting around May 1 or 15), but before we push any further with it, I'd need to know how much interest there is.

I'd certainly play!
I'd have to buy the game, but I'd play too.
I should be able to add some more game turns by then, so you can count me in. :)
Oh, and like we have done for the other Tiller Tourneys, we can pound the pavement so to speak around the net and drum up players that way too...that always yields about a dozen or so.

I am very much IN!:)
You have 7 participants already without even spreading the word too far. It looks like we will have a good turnout for this one.
Ben
Gosh, I'd love to give this a try. Please count me in!

I'm happy to see the momentum growing for this 1776 Tourney and I'm happy to assist in setting it up, but since I don't have the game, I'll have to pass this one up. Can't really say why, because I've got an interest for 17th/18 century warfare, but this specific setting never got my "juices flowing"...
Too bad, I'm the one at loss...

If funds permit, I would definitely recommend picking it up. I need to get the others in the Early American War Series as soon as I get back from Korea.

Suggest not using any of the stock scenarios, but maybe something that Rich H has uploaded. The engine has changed a lot since it first came out...

I'm considering designing the scenarios myself (I'd bounce them off of Rich first, just to be sure).
I don't have much experience with this game but do own it, so count me in as well.

All right, I'll get with Rich and Ben when Ben's home, and we'll look at getting this set up after Easter sometime.

I've been asked what the format will be. I'd like to see how many we'll have, but the current plans are.
We'll have three rounds, with each round being 2 mirrored games (against the same opponant).
Players will be given the following scores (per game)
Major Victory: 9 points
Minor Victory: 7 points
Draw : 5 Points
Minor Defeat: 3 Points
Major Defeat: 1 Point
At the end of the 6 games, the high man wins.

Well like I said earlier, I won't be joining you guys on this one, but I would like to wish good luck to all the participants in the tourney and that you have as much fun as I had playing the previous Napoleonic tourney.
Of course, being in the sidelines, I'm available to lend a hand if there's any need!
And Ben, about your "funds permit" note... After buying Lock-on, a TM HOTAS Cougar and Track IR4, all in the space of two months, I'm lucky enough to be able to sleep in the master bed, instead of fiding a couple of suitcases by the door... It's a mistery how I managed to pass these expenses through the "boss"
Anyway good luck and good fun to you all!
Cheers,
Paulo

I've been out of town, and just getting back today. I'm planning on getting things going tomorrow or the next day (depending on some things)
