Well, Matto, I am doing exactly the same thing, even though I have registered in the newsletter on the official site...

We can start planning on multiplayer engagements :-D

That's the good thing about digital downloading: you don't have to wait for something to go gold...:)

Technically, the release date was late February/early March, but we know he REALLY meant late February.

Storm Eagle Fans:

We are working very hard finishing up Distant Guns. Promised release dates have always been a two edged blade. Ship before the game is fully finished and tested, you get dinged for shipping to soon. If you take your time and fully finish the game, you are almost always late with the release!

Part of the reason for the delay is that our original plan was to finish the campaign game after the inital release. As we got closer, we decided to finish it before release! This has also allowed us to implement Generation Two (2) engine upgrades, such as the improved wave graphics.

Norm and I want the game out more than anyone else. But pressing the release button can only happen when we are satisfied with the game!

Dear Distant Guns Developers,
We are very happy with your work doing for us. We all hope, that you will prepare for us great game and we will spend great time during nights with it :devious: Dont worry about our questions for release date, we will wait until you finish it (what can we do anything else :o ). We only need to know, when it will be ... so don't worry about promised release dates and simply tell us, it will be done not at the end of February but at the end of March (oh no), because we want prepare great campaign form you ... or better ... tommorow (YES!). It's better to know we must wait ome month more, than beleive, that D-day is today, or tommorow :p
Thanks :)

Thanks for your support!

If you run into my good friends Petr and the rest of the boys at Illusion Softworx, tell them I said "Hi".

Illusion is the best developer in the Czech Republic!

Since time is approaching mid-March now - just wondering how close are we gamers from downloading this fascinating game? I see earlier discussion of a Feb/March release.

Heck! Some of my non-gamer friends are even interested in this game thanks to their interest in the historical time period of the Russo-Japanese war. One of them is Russian-Asian too boot!

Regarding the activation issue - wasn't this addressed by one of the devs saying they would release a permanent unlock code if (for whatever reason) they stop supporting the game?

Again, eagerly looking forward to playing this fascinating game!:)

Hi again. April is nearly here and I was just checking in on how far along DG was coming.

Picked up a couple of books on that era from Amazon.com: The Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895 : Perceptions, Power, and Primacy by S. C. M. Paine; and The Tide at Sunrise; A History of the Russo-Japanese War, 1904-05 by Denis Warner

Something to curl up with and have a good read before playing your game.:)

Will we hear a Golden Master announcement? Someone else mentioned you guys are in the homestretch/crunch time mode.

Looking forward to the game!

The Warner book is great. Thanks for the heads-up on Paine,
