Ouch!
Saw it on the Battlefront site link.
The reviewer is obviously into different types of games than CMBO or CMBB. Nothing is more exciting than a good old fashion C & C tank rush! What, no power-ups?! How can I play a game without progressive levels?
Seems also that there is also a generation gap in the computer gaming community. It was just a matter of time.
What NIT-WIT :drink: reviews a 4+ year old game as if it's "new" when it's better looking brother (CMBB) has been released and their even better looking sister is about to be (CMAK)?
This guy (no name) didn't mention anything about how cutting edge CMBO was way back then (in pc years) or that it even had a newer "version" on the market.
His attitude was very "anti" in all respects even down to the lack of music.
Music? This isn't "DOOM" where you just blast everything away where "units" noises aren't important.
For one I want to hear what that unknown tank gun shooting at me sounded like, was it a 75mm or 88mm? Was that a panzerfaust just going off and missing it's target? SOUNDS play an important part in CM and music blaring from the speakers would cover all of that up (my music plays softly in the background).
And Graphics- sure 4 year old graphic are going to look dated on any game, but once again he failed to mention CMBB or CMAK.
All in all a piss-poor review and website that would allow it. :kotz:
The only thing good about it was the ad with the "girl" in the bikini!
Palantir :cheeky:
Lets challenge them for lamerness and kill! :)
