I have been following this game for some time and stand by ready to download. I have no problem with the era. Norm, if you are getting nasty e-mails from people who don't like your choice just tell them to develope their own game and you will buy one of their's. It looks better every day. I am sure I am not the only one who hopes that after a while it can be scaled up to WWII but I think your choice of a starting point is fine and I am ready to buy.

On the Contrary,

We have recieved nothing but praise for our choice of the RJW. Up to this point, ant computer game based on the Russo-Japanese war had abstractions in it. In Distant Guns, each and every shell fired is introducted into the game world, physically fired from the gun, realisticly travels a realistic trajectory, flys all the way to the target, then either hits the target and tests for penetration, or hits the water! EVERY SINGLE SHOT!

Everything is on in actual real time, in a 1:1 scale. We even have a "shell cam" that you use to "ride the shell" Slim Pickens Style. Its neat when you are riding a shell and other shells fied in the same salvo cross your path or move slightly faster or slower than you.

To my knowledge, this is the first naval game that fires, physically represents, anbd resolves every single shell fired into the game!

Sounds absolutely great! Just what I would want in a naval game, and I am very intrigued by the setting. Jackie Fisher learned a lot of things from the RJW when it came to laying down the Dreadnought designs, so it will be great to play out this era which shaped the Great Naval War to come.

I think you will be amazed how much Distant Guns: RJW@Sea favors WWI naval combat. The long battle lines, the angle of attack, where the fleet turns are made, etc... Its alot of fun and you will not be disappopinted.
