I am setting the deadline for unit start locations to midnight Wednesday, February 22nd.
This is the for the actual start locations of ALL units with the exception of the 3 recon elements as these are already locked in).
I will need the Hex ID with all units in that hex listed underneath. Please refer to the appropriate NATO/WP Unit Starting Deployment Locations (DRAFT) threads inside your secure forums for sample format and to post these locations. You do not have to wait until they are all decided upon. Post what you can when you can, this way I can transfer them to their OFFICIAL OP1 Start location threads and it will be easier (for me) to make sure none are left out.
Herr Double Deuce,
A couple of RFIs...is there a POC for getting some kind of warning order or operations order for the units so we can plan accordingly? I would like to coordinate with fellow commanders on deploying the 35th PzG Bde but we need to know who the DIV/Corps G-3 is so we can get some idea about the operations...
CDR's Intent...Task to subordinate units...Mostly paragraph 3 kind of items. An intel assessment would be good as well.

Shortreengage will probably do the actual deployment based on how he wants to pursue the mission. He will probably get input from the other commanders before he posts deployments and official orders BUT everyone kind of needs to understand he may have to take the ball and run with it as I must keep the game moving and cannot always wait for decision by consensus. :salute:

I think that we will need until the end of the week.No problem. I see you have most worked out so the end of the week is fine. Just let me know whan you are finalized.

I can't seem to upload a cocat map.You mean as an attachment here? If so you may need to zip it. The format may be flagging the virus checker since the COCAT extension format's are not common ones.

I can't seem to upload a cocat map.Do you have COCAT working on your PC? I'll build your starting COCAT file if you do. That way it should mirror what is posted on the forums (as a double-check).

Well, working is a relative term:nervous: Does it DO anything on its own or is it a planning tool only?

Its a planning tool, Just to show locations and you can plot movement paths and stuff. Since we are using hexes its not as relevant. I just like to use it to keep up with WHAT units are where and it makes a great graphical tool to go with the text tracking on the forums.

I have all the starting placements added to the secure forums. I will begin posting some initial intel information shortly based on the screening units and what they see/detect in the early morning hours as they are "moving" into their starting locations.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
The error is that cocat is reading an error in the date and time on my machine. I know the date and time are correct. after this the program will not engage.
If we can fix this I can get up and running.

Is this when you 1st start up COCAT? I haven't seen this before that I can recall. Have you tried to reinstall from a fresh download?

I'm going to use a paper map and plot from there. I just need to know where to start my deployment.......If I don't hear from Tanker I will also deploy his units(which are part of my Regiment). If I can get Cocat running at a later time I will, but for now this will ave to do.

Jad,
That will work. The important thing is for you to be abe to get a visual feel for where stuff is on the map.

For both teams.
The deadline is not set in stone BUT we need to get the ball rolling. Once we get into the flow I will speed up the deadlines to keep the pace as quick and as smooth as possible.
