Do blue UK units surrender or do they keep on fighting?

Both the blue and green units keep on fighting: the British would like to think that they would have fought on from the Empire and Commonwealth even if the UK itself were overrun, so these are generally the Middle Eastern and African units, plus assorted specials like the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Partisans/Guerillas, etc. (although not the Home Guard). As I'm sure you know, the Empire & Commonwealth included Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, and sizeable chunks of Africa and Asia and assorted island. While the Japanese would no doubt have put extra pressure on some of them, countries like Canada would have been out of reach of the Axis, failing the creation of a huge fleet or some impressive development on the rocket programme.
I know that a very similar arguement could be made for France, but it was a far more centralised empire, and we know that it didn't chose to fight on.
