cmbb help for newbie please

Hi there,

I am a newbie considdering Combat Mission, but I have been playing the campaing series (talonsoft) for years now.
First of al, I need to say that Combat mission is absolutely fantastic!
I am not abandonning the campaign series, on the contrary, but CM gives wargaming about 20 new dimensions of fun and realism.
And it seems cheat-proof to me! (To me that is a major advantage compared to the campaign series!)

Now, I have just started my first CMBO PBEM, just to learn because man, there is a lot to learn here for me. CMBO gives me no technical problems though.

As I read through the CM forums, I get the idea that BB is the game to play.
So I want to learn CMBB as well. Here is my CMBB problem:

Everything works well exept for some mods. For instance the panzer IV appears completely white. (as well as some other tanks) It is like they uses scissors to cut out the colour and detail. The blank mod works normally though, I can give it commands etc...
Even weirder are some mortar mods. The soldier behind the tube is perfect, but the mortar tube itself is white like I described for the panzers.

This ruins my motivation to learn the CMBB game, so I will stick to CMBO till I have fixed this problem.
I need to add that I have not added or changed mods or what so ever. The problem as I described appears instantly after installing the CMBB cd.

Please help me fix this problem, so I can enter the CM ranks and PBEM with you guys.

Not a big "mod" user myself hopefully a vet can give you some answers, but it sound like a few frames are missing from the unit set up.

It's difficult to say what is the specific cause of your particular problem. However, you should know that when the various patches were made BMPs were changed and added to certain vehicles. So earlier mods of those vehicles could be problematic. I know that they changed the mortor tube, but don't know if they changed its BMP number. I don't think that they did.

Of course I'm assuming that you're not talking about winter mods that can be pretty close to all white.

Could be a video card problem.
What the specs of your machine?
BB uses more graphics than BO so this could be the problem?
I had the same things happen before i upgraded.

Hmm, my video card is a Gforce2
Could that be the problematic??

I quess I will have to try to replace mods or something. I have no experience with that what so ever, but I am going to give it a shot.

I'm Geforce2 and never had any probs in cmbb or any other game except
I kept getting weird flashing pixels in cmbb at one time but only at "Maximum Horizon",so I reduced the horizon distance (Shift-H) and they went :)

Problem solved!

It appeared that I just missed some mods. Resulting in complete blank units. I just added the mod and all is perfect.

Now I am ready to learn the game and to get things started with you guys.
