Now that SZO is getting back up to speed I am curious as to what you guys would like to see going on in the SP Zone.
Here are my thoughts on things I am planning or would like to do in the future.
WinSPWW2 Campaign Design Contest,
Map Design Contests (WinSPMBT/WinSPWW2 and SPWAW),
New Elimination Tournaments (WinSPMBT, WinSPWW2 and SPWAW),
Mini Combat Campaigns (way down the road if done at all - 3-5 players per side Maximum),
Group/Team Campaign Design Projects (like mini-Mega Campaigns),
Club competitions between SZO, Blitz, SPWAW Depot, etc).
DISCLAIMER: Please keep in mind that contests will not have prizes available like what Shrapnel Games did for the WinSPMBT Campaign Design Contest. That was the exception and not the rule. I will however try to arrange things like that whenever I can.
Good ideas Mike,
The Map Design Contest :devious: and the Club competitions between SZO, Blitz and Depot can start immediately.
I am confident that the Inter-Club competition will receive a sponsorship from Shrapnel (Just perhaps you should add two more options like Shrapnel players and independent players).
cheers,

The Map Design Contest :devious: and the Club competitions between SZO, Blitz and Depot can start immediately. One advantage to a Map Design Contest using WinSPMBT is that the maps should be interchangable/usable with WinSPWW2 which would provide duplicate resources for designers in either game.
I am confident that the Inter-Club competition will receive a sponsorship from Shrapnel (Just perhaps you should add two more options like Shrapnel players and independent players). There would be no restrictions on teams most likely. Players could assemble under a specific site's banner or form their own independent group. I have thought about a "virtual trophy" that could be displayed on the SP Zone here with a listing of the teams names and winners. There could also be a mini verison for inclusion in each winning team member's signature at their option (linked to the main trophy page of course) ;).

Some times i have more fun makeing cool maps then playing the game. ThanksI know the feeling. I spend almost all my time with the game designing maps and campaigns. I also have some ideas for a Scenario Design Contest where everyone has to use the same map. Perhaps the winning map of a Map Design Contest. :smoke:

So, is anybody out there working on anything . . or is it a secret? :D
As for me, I have 2 user campaigns for WinSPMBT almost completed and ready for playtesting (Vas FURY, if you're still available to test the Dutch Terror campaign, it'll be ready VERY soon)!

Yep, Im still paitiently waiting, and am ready to playtest. Also, those points you have suggested for the different tournament types are good and hopefully they will all start coming to fruition in the near future.

I am working on a user camp for winspmbt that starts out in the northern region of Austarlia and is loosely based on the Austalian 2nd cav reg. Interestingly the mech scouts can actualy be equiped with javelins. Their foe? well you will just have to check the camp out. The camp starts out with your unit on bivouc when your unit comes under attack by a unknown band of mercs. It should be through in another week or so. I am also interested in playtesting for any one who needs people.
