View Full Version : COCAT Trouble...
Hey guys, ive downloaded the latest COCAT files supplied by Deuce (the ones containing the entire Cocat files), installed them, and then extracted the maps into the map folder. However, when i try to run COCAT it says: Error339 when downloading the map files. Does anyone have any idea on how to rectify this fault?

So you have downloaded all 7 zip files from HERE (http://www.combat-campaigns.com/spmbt/nato_wp/tools.htm) or did you DL the one where I tried to compile a single zip (minus the maps)?
What I would do is take just the 4 COCAT File downloads and process them with the default maps, text files and icons. Then make sure you can run the base COCAT program. Once thats running we can walk through the changes (they are many) to converting it to the NATO vs WP data.
Also make sure your Map file DL was not corrupted. Its a large 21MB size zip.

Is anyone else who is involved in the NATO vs WP Campaign having trouble with COCAT (those who are planning to use it that is)?
Hey, i tried to d/l the files from that link you posted, and they dont download. (i dont think the files are downloadable). Is there anywhere else i can get the files from (apart from this forum, coz all the ones ive been downloading from this site have not been working).

Why is the 2.13 file larger than 2.10. And why does it create a seperate cocat game? I can run cocat from either file.
Ive downloaded and installed COCAt in the same order as instructed on the site, put the new maps into the respective folder, and the bloody thing still comes up with an error message when i try to run it...

If you are having problems with COCAT, please remove it from your PC completely. DO NOT delete the MAP files unless you want to DL the full 21 MB of them again.
Then DL this version FULL COCAT - MAPS (http://www.combat-campaigns.com/downloads/COCAT_NATOvWP.zip) which is a complete version (no patches to download, etc) and is only missing the Maps - which you should have kept from prior downloads). After you DL, unzip and make sure you keep the folder/file structure as it is set up in the zip file. Then copy the map images into the map folder of your new COCAT_NATOvWP folder. It should work OK then.

I was just about to say the same thing. I just DL and installed and ran it with no problem.

I guess I'm a lurker on this campaign (or at least the parts I can get access to).
I get exactly the same message as Vas Fury on my home laptop, and even attempting to only install the basic program before the "Modern" updates doesn't seem to work.
I did manage to install the complete program on my computer at work and it works fine, but when I transfer these working files to my home laptop I get the 339 error again.
Perhaps it's a hardware issue?
Good point, it may be a hardware issue, im running this game from a laptop.

I have it running fine on my laptop. Let me check the old forums and see if there is mention of a "339 Error" and what it might be. There were problems on some PC's caused by a missing dll file (not included in some versions of windows that the game needs to run).
