What do you think of exit scenarios?
I DETEST them! I have never found one that I thought played well.
When that happens to me in CM I work with the system until I get it to respond the way I want it to. The tools are there, the designer just needs to use them.
At least that is the plan.
I had the same problem with the AI attacking. Everybody said it couldn't be done. But I think I do a very credible job of getting the AI to attack.
So, onto the exit scenarios being BAD!!! Time to see if there was anything that could be done.
I had never done a CMAK KC (Knight's Cross) scenario. The two most prominent candidates were from the 2nd SS Panzer Division in Normandy. BUT They were both going to have to be exit scenarios.
With extensive playtesting, and I do mean EXTENSIVE...the miracle cure for scenario ailments...I found that a very intense, and best of all, WINNABLE exit scenario could be made.
At least that is what I think.
I have uploaded the scenarios here to the site for your enjoyment and for feedback outside my normal channels.
Good Hunting.
