The most intense H2H head game I've ever played was against George Mc when we were playtesting my "Bloody Road" scenario for the KOTH tournament.
That scenario went back and forth turn after turn. The end result was more than 100 dead AFV's on the map. Many of those burning! Each of us using the strengths of our force and the terrain to advantage.
Funny part of this is I don't remember if I won or not. Doesn't really matter. What mattered was the intensity of the fight and comraderie of the gamers.
I hope to repeat that feeling someday down the line again. This is why I play CM.
I hope your 2005 best game was as good as mine.
Good Hunting.

Now this should be a good thread since we've had some top players going H2H.
Let's hear it guys- what was your best game & who was it against, even a short note will do! :nofear:

I recently played a game i got from one of my clanmates. It was one of the top player tourney battles from here at SZO and a fellow KG member, KG_Swampfox and i decided to play it. It was the battle with the big factories on the right, the village in the center and the forested fortress on a hill on the left, from the russian perspective. Cant remember the exact name of the scenario.
I was the russian defender and he was the attacking germans. He kept me having to hide behind the big hill and the factories or risk being taking out by a plethora of 150mm infantry guns and arty. At first he didnt try either flank and went right for the village in the middle. Late in the contest he went after the factories but i stopped him. The game went back and forth and was a real nail biter and it came down to the small VL flag at the back of the map on the last turn of the game. I managed to fight him off of it and the Bridge VL and we ended up with a draw.
This was one of the best games i ever played in period, not just in 2005. Hats off to Swampy for a great game and outstanding comeraderie throughout the whole battle! Thats what KG is all about, great freinds and great compitition!

That scenario was for CMBB: "KM- Down the Donets Corridor. " :)

Well I only had time for 6 all year, but overall it had to be the last one, an ME vs KG-Thorshammer (even though the LOS AI sucked big time!).
1/3 of my armor was bogged down by Turn 6 including 2 of my 4 Tigers. One Tiger that was hit & immobilized took out 5 Su-76's & 1 T-34 before being knocked out. It was a 45 turn nail biter as Thor worked his T-34's behind my defenses only to see them destroyed by my two bogged down Tigers in the last few minutes.
One cool action Thor had was a 1/2 Track rush at one bogged down Tiger with a FT unit on board. The sucker jumped off and torched my panzer the next turn before I could get some fire on it. Great daring move on his part.
