Here's a thread I picked up at another club. It's a lengthy on-going interview with a former Tiger I commander that fought for Rommel in AK. Pretty interesting stuff. Enjoy! :) http://63.99.108.76/forums/index.php?showtopic=13790

Nice link! :)

I had a quick look in my Panzer Truppen vol.2 to see if Lindemann was mentioned there but he wasn't. However, it only mentions two of the four Kampfgruppe so it's of little significance that his name doesn't come up.

awsome interviews..living history..we should cherish each word Herr LMajor has and learn from it. War is HELL no matter what uniform you wear...

Damn this is unique and what a level of detail

I like these statements amoung others:

-Tigers are forbidden to use paved roads
-they never tooked any gun hits?
-NEVER went into combat with anything open
-60 seconds for a 360 degree turn (thats one pbems turn ;)
-NEVER had overheating problems, even in the desert
-little use for smoke candles and mostly dismounted them or never reloaded them

With my interst for WWII modeling I had already given the word to my friends at IPMS ;)

Thanks Lurker :salute:

-they never tooked any gun hits? I particularly like that part - where he looks at his interviewer like he's crazy for asking such a thing. In CM it's a regularity unfortunately. :nervous:

I second that Lurker :smoke:

However if a round can blast through one hatch clipping a hand and kill a loader for then to blast through another hatch on its departure - I guess everything is possible

I just think that it told everything you need to know about german officers when you after you lost a limb and everything is chaotic still can command your crew to stay put not leaving your tank :hail:
