OPART-CW and WinXP

I have trouble with my OPART installation in XP-environment. Ranged artillery doesn't show up in the 'Support' section in the "Plan a battle" dialog (guess if that is a handicap :hurt: ), and the message dialogs doesn't behave properly. Is this known problems? I have the same trouble on two different computers and I have tried installing the 1.04-patch to no avail. OPART 300 behavs better though. There I get to use my artillery at least!

I have the same problems with all Talonsoft's war simulations (ACOW, EF gold, WF gold, as I have) .... the popup menu and windows were often in wrong places and sometimes not updating, sometimes not responding, sometimes, even worse, simply disappears.... I guess you probably just need to learn to live with that :angry:

I guess this XP-problem was already asked and solved a few hundred times :)

1) right-click at the OPART link in your start menue.
2) select properties
3) in the pop-up window select compatibility
4) choose to run the programm in Windows2000 compatibility mode

(make sure that you have the latest ACOW 1.04 patch installed)

everything should work now as desired.
