Civ 4 game?

Overseer and I have some time this week until Wednesday, and next week, for some Civilization IV...does anyone here have any interest in a game? Report in!

i would love to play, but it will have to be next week. with work christmas and having to move, i will be a little busy thru sunday. actually, it will have to be from tuesday on, my dsl goes down tomorrow because of the move, booooo. i've played once, online is very smooth, and the turns didnt take very long at all.

I am sure many would love to play this online against others.

I likely would.

But I have thus far only been playing it hotseat, and the moment you get past the 1500s, it seems to crawl (well on my system at least).

And playing on puny maps seems to much like eating sugar free low fat :)

But, the other day, I actually won a Diplomacy Victory :) I was put in charge of the UN by twice the vote I needed.

I was on Warlord setting, but will admit, I scored a massive early advantage that game. I was given 3 settlers in the first 3 huts. Man I was just untouchable because of that.

Overseer and I have made it pretty late in the game, and haven't really noticed too many slowdowns. Its not as snappy as single-player, but it is certainly playable and is a much better experience than other multi-player strategy games I have played.

But his comp is squeaking by at the minimum I think, which is why he has a problem. I'd be up for trying, but it'll only play slower for Aries than it does now.
