If you have COCAT running on your PC please let me know. I need to make sure all of you who will be using COCAT to assist with the tracking of things are transitioned the new icons, maps and unit equipment text files.

IF you plan to just keep up with things on the forum and a printed Operational Map please post that here as well so I can eliminate you from the list of who needs to be transitioned to the new version.

Pannonicus and me will surely use COCAT. I suggest everyone else -especially the staff members- to use it as well but it's up to you.

The NATO vs WP COCAT is now ready. You can find ALL the necessary files (Base COCAT prgram, necessary patches, maps, unit equipment txt files and unit icons). Go to the NATO vs WP Website (http://www.combat-campaigns.com/spmbt/nato_wp/) and follow the COCAT Utility link.

I tried to make it work. No success:(.

The patches worked, but when I tried to run the modified cocat for modern combat it gave errors 53 and 52 . DD have you succeeded in making it wok? I know the file structure and copied the modern stuff correctly but no success. (bluefor and opfor pictures in the pictures dir and txt files in the forces dir) Please advise.

I think the best solution would be that if it is running on your computer zip it all and make available for DL.

Artur.Did you also get the new exe file? Make sure it overwrote the old one. I had to delete the original exe and then unzip it to another location and then copy to the main COCAT folder. Check the date stamp on it.

I can put tgether a zip without the maps for DL if needed.

Rompa, you could start with downloading and experimenting with the uni files I attached at the operational planning forum.

So should I delete the Red Snow version and replace it with the one talked about here and patch it up?

Ok, so I've dl and unzipped 2.10 to a folder. I now have 5 files- Data, Map, Cocat.exe(file version 2.0.0.0) and 2 text files.

How do I correctly apply patch 2.13 and subsequent patches? When I unzip these patches there are dozens of files. Where, specifically do I extract them to<

When I start that cocat I get "No Map set found, cannot run Cocat! Contact Pal." I have unzipped the NatovWP maps into the map folder. I did notice that when I first installed the program, the maps folder was empty. I got the error message when trying to start it then also. I wonder if this is the problem?

I happened to notice that there are no map files included in the NATOvsWP COCAT.zip referenced in your post. Is this correct or is something missing?

I happened to notice that there are no map files included in the NATOvsWP COCAT.zip referenced in your post. Is this correct or is something missing?That is correct. The maps are NOT in the compiled zip file because of their size. They are in jpg format and are a total of 21MB in size. There are 4 of them. Do you have those located in the map folder? They are named;

map025.jpg
map050.jpg
map100.jpg

Have you tried to set the default date with the rightmost button on the toolbar? Anyway, if you can load and see the .uni files that is good.

Anyone else having COCAT problems? Or are you all good to go?

Artur.

Aahh, the COMDLG32.DLL file error. I believe there is a fix but I will have to find the old threads. Its a file that is not found in all versions of Windows IIRC so it rarely pops up.

It would be great if you could help me.Try this thread over at the CMMC2 Forums (http://www.cmmc2.org/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=295&whichpage=2&SearchTerms=comdlg32). Look at the last 3-4 posts. There are other threads dealing with this as well. Search for comdlg32.

You should be able to locate any of the needed files HERE (http://www.cmmc2.org/cocat/).

Do we have a cocat file were all our units are placed on the current hex on map ?Do you have COCAT running? I can send you the file if you wanna do the Turn 1 moves. Then I can transpose them to the forums so Jadg can look at them and make any adjustments (he doesn't have an operational COCAT I don't think).
