View Full Version : Attaching a picture to your post - a brief, illustrated tutorial.
Many people have emailed me regarding problems with adding a picture into their posts, generally to add some spice to AARs. This forum is therefore the perfect place to have a tutorial. I've taken screenshots through every step in the process, and will walk you through it in the following series of posts.
A hint to start:
The forum will now allow a user to attach multiple pics (or files) to a single post. With the new changes to our forum, pics will now only be displayed as a link, and will not show up directly on the post!
Here's a shot of the screen you see when you make a post. You'll notice down towards the bottom, Attach Files: Manage Attachments.
Click on 'Manage Attachments'.
This pop-up window will appear. Click on 'Browse'.
The standard Windows Explorer pop-up window will appear. Direct it towards the picture (or file) you wish to add to your post. Either double-click the file itself, or highlight the file and click 'Open'.
Once you've added the file, you will be returned to this window. Click 'Add This File'. (Notice that only certain file extensions will be allowed!)
The window will update, showing the file you've selected. Click 'All Done'.
The window will close, and you'll find yourself back where you started, at the screen where you type in your post. Keep in mind that your pic will always display at the bottom of your post, after any text you've entered! Be sure that you're done typing your message, and click 'Submit Reply'.
All done!
