UNIT(s):

2nd Brigade, 8th Infantry Division (United States);
4th Mechanized Brigade (Canadian);
35th Panzer Grenadier Brigade (West German).
MISSION: Intelligence reports Warsaw Pact Command is directing all available forces into the void created by withdrawing Austrian and Czech troops. Pact Reconnaissance elements are probably already operating in the area. The Main body of the Pact force will likely arrive from the North from nearby garrisons.

There are 2 probable routes of advance by Pact forces into the sector. The 1st is along the western corridor vicinity Foxreut (Hex BB3) and the 2nd is in the vicinity of Portabach (Hex II4). The eastern corridor along the Deggen River is the least likely route of attack as the terrain is very rugged and heavily wooded.
Objective 1: Seize and hold the vital road and rail junction vicinity of Moos, Parst and the nearby Processing Plant (Hexes DD&, EE7 & EE8).

Objective 2: Seize and hold the vital road and rail junction vicinity of Aspertsham (Hexes II7, II8 & JJ7).
ENEMY SITUATION: Warsaw Pact forces are expected to include both Armor and Reconnaissance elements of the Soviet 2nd MRD, East German 9th TD and Hungarian 11th TD.
