Let this thread be the place for storing training scenarios. The more situations we play the better solutions we may find in the "real" battles.

Here I post three scenarios about a meeting engagement between US and Soviet Union.
The points are even for both sides. Vis is set to 40 the number of turns is also set to 40 in order to give enough time for a more patient approach as well. Map A1 is used. In the smaller battles only a part of c1 (map editor copy-pase function is cool :) ).
The battles are designed for PBEM, but they can be played against the AI especially if you play with the Russians. It may be quite sobering...
Playing the small version is recommended. But those who like BIG scenarios can give the other versions a try.
Feedback is welcome, byt do not post in this thread as it is for storing scenarios only ;) .

East German BMP Bn with some supporting elements but lacking heavy AA cover defend against a US Army assault.
Adjusted for play against the AI. Hard to win.
For PBEM play against a competent opponent it will be VERY hard to win.
Hungarian BMP Bn(+) defends against US armoured assault.
Soviet airsupport inbound, can you hold off the Americans until it arrives?
Can be played against the AI.
A Soviet reinforced BMP Bn defends a town against US forces.
Primarily for PBEM, won't work too well against the AI...
EDIT: T64A tanks changed to T64B.
A Bradley co + a M113 co with 4 platoons of American armor & support tries to hold the line against 4 BTR companies, 1BMP company and 6 tank companies + support.

Here are 5 simple test bed scenarios:
Scen 160 A10 vs. ZSU23
161 A10 vs. SA4
162 A10 vs. SA6
163 A10 vs. SA9
164 A10 vs. SAM7 Manpad
In all cases you play the US side as human. The Sov AA is located at approx 155,80 on the 160x160 map. There is no terrain or obstruction to vision and the vision is set at 75. I usually had the A10's attack coord 90,80 on the track NW>center>SW.
The ZSU23 will not fire until about 2500m, so you may need to experiment with setting the attacked hexes closer to them.
There are 4 ZSU's grouped together. All others have 3 units at approx 155,80 and a 4th alone in the NE corner.
In my limited trials the SA 4 and 6 seemed the most effective, followed by the SA7 manpad. The 4 and 6 actually prevented the A10 from attacking and destroyed both. When I have more time I'll conduct more thorough tests.
I couldn't figure out how to have it play pc vs. pc and still have the planes attack where I wished them to.
Can someone arrange another training scen for BTR attack? Maybe against Germans or Canadians because that is what we aim at in start.

I have that in my mind, will design it within a week. Christmas duties arrived to me as well :).

A T80 and a T27 battalion with a 6 BTR companies assaults a dug in West Germans consisting of a Mech inf battalion and some armor support. There may be a few american TI units but not too much.
(Jad Itimofey Tanker and Wulfir please do not look at it yet.)

A Hungarian BMP battalion attempts to stop a West German juggernaut. WG has all the Leo2s and has many units.
Hungary mission is:
-Delay and withdraw your forces from the map (you can do that at the west and east edges only...)
-Try to cause as much damage to WG as you can. The more the better.

This scenario (Hun vs WG) is going on with Jagdpanther. We both wear each other down, looks like a draw to me.
In this scenario 2 Abrams companies, 1 Leo2 company, 4 american mech inf companies (with M113) and plenty of support attempt to assault a reinforced BMP battalion and 2 T60B companies.
(This scen is in a higher slot because I had to skip my experimental scenarios.)

Here I created a scenario about one forward deployed recon company (in row7).
Everyone except mr_clark, Stonefire, Vesku and Tanker please do NOT look at it yet!
It is a "meeting" or rather an enemy sweep across the hex held by our recon company. The mission of our recon company is:
1. to stay alive. (Is should ecvacuate all recon vehicles -except the BMPs ASAP in turn 1)Evacuation can be done by moving a vehicle near the left or right edge. Then move on the grey area - second click. in the next turn the vehicles will disappear, but they have to survive one enemy turn.
2. Observe and get the best picture of the enemy in front
3. Make some dagmage-bloody their nose (only with the ATGMs, BMPs, planeas and artillery!!!) to make them cautious. Stay invisible with the RPG teams! (and of course you have evacuated all other vehicles already :) )
4. You will get air and artillery support. Make only standoff attacks with the planes!!! You can make serous damage with them! We cannot allow to lose any of them! You have artillery support use to pin the searching infantry!
The flags are for the AI only to make it sweep all the area. Those 4 comrades mentioned above should play the scen against the AI first and then against a training partner. Volunteers for training partners are welcome. (Please do NOT post here but in the training registration thread, let's keep this thread for the scenarios.)
That is why I ask the others not to look now. There are 3 forward deployed recon co's and we have 4 people for it - one as a reserve.
The WG mission is to clear the area.

Reworked the scenario. added the Hungartian strelas to our recon co.
I changed the deployment a bit. East Germany is first.
WARNING be sure to turn the weapons OFF where needed!!!.

Very simple. Look at the info screen of the attacking plane. Until it has one PGM or one ARM it will make only standoff attack which means it will fire it's PGM (or ARM) from the edge of the screen and go away.

As far as I know it does not matter, but it sure does not hurt. The important thing is to have at least one PGM left.
