I know what they're for in real life but what's their purpose in the game? Evacuating disabled tanks?
Also, how to use minelet artillery? Am I supposed to shoot this in front of an advancing enemy so he drives over the mines and gets blown up?
One last thing: on a couple of occasions I encountered a large stream bisecting the map in half and my tanks got stuck in the mud. Do we have bridging units in SPMBT so my tanks can pass?

I don't think there's any practial use for them, except for use in scenarios.
Not sure about the bridgeing issue, I don't drive my tanks anywhere near water or mud or swamps, that's for boots on the ground,or boats.

I know what they're for in real life but what's their purpose in the game? Evacuating disabled tanks? They are mainly useful in campaigns so you can recover disabled, immobilized vehicles and move them back away from the advancing enemy and further damage. You could also use them to laod heavy (slow) vehicles to take advantage of the transporters faster wheeled vehicle movement rates while on roads. They are also useful in designing scenarios.
Also, how to use minelet artillery? Am I supposed to shoot this in front of an advancing enemy so he drives over the mines and gets blown up?AFAIK, when you fire it lime normal artillery and when it lands it will create minefields in the target hex areas.

One thing concerning minelet artillery. I think there is a turn limit on the plotting of bombardments but I can`t remember how long. That is, you can`t plot minelet artillery on turn 0, but have to wait a few turns before it becomes available.
Play balance issues I think this is for.

I guess the barge carrier units is the closest you can come to a bridging unit. It however requires open water to function.
As for tank transports, in my world they are just truck towed trailers and arent suited for the battlefield. The battlefield recovery role should be handled by engineer tanks but that doesnt work in the game, which is sad. I have acutally never seen a game where you could tow disabled tanks to safety, something which actually is quite common on the "modern battlefield".
As for the minelet arty, its commonly used for area denial purpouses, targeting important road junctions or key positions that you want to keep the enemy away from. Its in other words primary a defensive weapon.
