Is there a way to save a map from a quick battle so that you can use it again?

I'm sure there is, but I'm damned if I can remember how.

Save the match when viewing the end map. You can then create a quick battle and "import" the map, and even the troops for another battle.

So in order to save the map I have to save the end game? I can surrender and save then?

correct, or when the game comes to its' conclusion, whichever you prefer.
