When the desert cm come`s out ,do you think the spec`s will go up ? if they do a lot of customer`s will not be able to buy it ?, silly really , they say cmbb is from 233 mghz , i have 500mghz and still cant run some of the scene`s other`s with big speed`s get jerky pic`s ,so come on maker`s a bit of customer loyalty is needed here ?

The problem is the outdated/poor graphics engine. It's not that the graphics are so complex regarding the texture load or the number of triangels per second etc, it's just that CM does not make the best use of the available hardware. I have sometimes even performance problems on my XP2400+ CPU with an 9700pro Radeon. It's better than on my old 1000Mhz with an Geforce4Ti, but not very much better.

Paul, I just read that if you load a 1/2 (low res) grass, snow, etc(ground type bmps/mods) that you can run just about any size of battle... I am going to download an try myself... Evidently the textures of these bmps really eat up whatever makes things jerk around...

If this is the case the modders will be working on these very quickly when CMAK comes out... I will try the above and report...

Well we all seem to be in the same boat ,from high to low machine`s ,next time you speak to Matt at CM ask if it can be resolved a little ?

Oh well, I don't make a secret of my opinion. I have posted this already several times on the BTS forums. Can't remember a single 'official' response from anyone at BTS.
