Attached to this e-mail/Post you will find the following:
1. The Map for the first round.
2. The Pairings for your group for the first round.
3. Battle parameters for first round set up.
For the first round I have chosen a map from http://www.cmmods.com/, which has been slightly modified to increase the flavour and throw a curve at anyone who may have played it before.
Players may study the map prior to force selection. Highly recommended.
I have found a replacement for “Major Taktik” Poor Old Spike will be taking his place in Group A.
The player on top of each individual pairing shall be responsible for setting up both of the games.
The first round will run 5 weeks and end Sunday October 5, 2003. Unfinished games will have an agreed ceasefire and final results will be obtained from that point. Remember that you advance to the next round on the combined results of both games, so I would not recommend you surrender a game if it is going badly for you.
Defenders are allowed usage of all fortifications offered by the game.
Game results shall be e-mailed to me and also submitted to the Warfare HQ ladder.
Slow Play:
What can I say about this that has not been said before? Try and be considerate of your opponent and promptly retune moves. If your opponent is playing slowly e-mail me and I will try and get him to pick up the pace. If slow play continues, I will be forced to make a decision, which may not be popular with the slow player.
If you have any questions e-mail me or post to the Forum and I will attempt to answer them as quickly as possible.
This post has been e-mailed to all players.
Good luck to you all.
