I was just surfing around and stumbled into the cool Warfare HQ forums by accident after filling in a registration form. Dunno if that makes me a full-blooded member but I may as well play some cmbb ladder pbems if anybody's interested?
But please go easy on me,I'm just an ancient old grog aged 55 who's a Gandalf look-alike, and have just retired from the Rugged Defense club because it was all getting a bit too much for me.
Still,I have a nice silver trophy to remember them by,inscribed:-"Poor Old Spike, Rugged Defense Cmbb Ladder Leader 2003"

Hey Spike,

Guys be careful of spike here he was at the top of the RD ladder until he requested he be removed from that position. He is a sneaky opponent whom I managed to beat somehow. I thought you gave up playing what happened? :D

I have an opening in the tournament due to a last minute withdraw are you interested? Send me an e-mail if you are.

Gonzo, I'm going to assume you meant "dangerous" rather than sneaky, and thank you for the compliment :)
My tactics are literally an open book and not secretive, and have been pasted in this club and elsewhere for months for all to see and learn from in my "Kicking in the Door" tac article,as I like to help noobs in particular.
I left Rugged Defense as a matter of honour for the good of the club to give other people a chance to get to the top,as there were disheartened rumblings that my lead was unassailable.
I told boss Cyberfox to consider changing the scoring rules to make it harder for me,but he wouldn't so I walked, even though he said stick around if you want.
I made lots of pals in RD and was never short of opponents because they knew I'd always fight with honour and never pull cheap tricks on them. And noobs liked all the advice I gave them during each game.
Re your Tournament,I've never played in one before, but am interested if you can tell me exactly how the whole thing works beforehand :)

Thanks Panther,as I'm a club rookie I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to sit and wait for challenges to roll in,or whether to e-mail a few challenges myself,so in the meantime if you or anybody else is up for a cmbb game let me know,as I can handle about 20 games at once.
(For the record,at Rugged Defense I had around 20 going for the 6 months I was there, and completed 70, losing 17 of them)
Hey Gonzo you were one of the guys who beat me there and it was a classic win,my panzer group on the hillside ruled the roost early on and wiped your KV-1 flankers, but then you forced my crates to slam into reverse off their hill to avoid a heavy arty barrage, and while I was regrouping behind the hill you swept forward unopposed to seize the flag. Then when my panzers came back cresting the hill you cut them to ribbons, well done:)
