Truely Confused.

I read Norm's post and I must say that I am more confused than ever on the form that the new TOAW will take. When I first read about Matrix taking over the rights to TOAW I was under the impression that Norm would play a central role in the new TOAW. However, after his recent post it was clear that he will hardly br involved at all. Which means that David Heath and Matrix will determine the direction that TOAW will take. I like the TOAW that we have now and am not at all sure that I would like a Matrixized TOAW. I guess what I'm asking is; does anyone know what Matrix has planned for TOAW? Will it be the same or will Matrix completely redo the game?

Here are my thoughts.

1. Looking at the sub-forum related to the Matrix development, there are quite a few improved features that can be added to TOAW. Having someone working on it raises the posibilities of having these improvements incorporated to the game.

2. There are quite a few members from the TOAW comunity involved in the project with Matrix, therefore the odds of getting an improved game are good.

3. We will get to see the improvements made in v1.07 that was never released.

4. I rather get a new TOAW than a sweater for Christmas (I do hope that downloads are not the only to purchase the game, because how the hell is my wife supposed to wrap that).

Someone else has already said that it'll be available as a download and as part of their 'CD on-demand' service, unless I'm very much mistaken. If you go to the Matrix shop you can choose to purchase just the download, or a download with a CD for the games that I've looked at. Obviously having a CD costs a little bit more.
