View Full Version : Future CM Tournaments?
There has been some discussion of soon starting up a mini / quick single elimination QB Tourney (BB or AK). Comments?
Also, maybe a Scenario Tourney starting after the BB Players Map Tournament starts (which will be after the Top Players Tourney ends), is anyone interested?
I'd collect a list of scenarios you think are good ones (remember you could be playing either side) and we'd run a Tourney of the Top 5-10 scenarios put forward: possibile single elimination.
I'm sure we'll be running some form of a CMBB Ops Lvl Tourney once it comes out & everyone understands the new game. My first ideas on this are to run it like the AK Multiplayer Tourney. With an Axis vs Allied team with 3 players per Divison & 3-4 divisons per side, all linked to the master map. Probably have a vote on date / location / situation.
So start thinking of scenarios if this sounds good & situations for an OP's setting.

An elimination tourney might be a whole chunk of fun. We may have to consider a certain amount of seeding so as to ensure that top players like me and ... er ... me don't meet in the early rounds :laugh:
Seriously though, whatever floats the collective boat here is fine by me. As long as it isn't another CMBO tourney :)

Question - my work may get in the way, as Panto season is nearly upon us Brits - what would happen if RL got in the way...?
I'd have to withdraw, and let my opponent through to the next round, then finish the battle and WARS report it when I get back...?
...then again, I assume the Toourney rules would make it clear :)

1 BB Op's Lvl- waiting for it & the "info."
1 BB, 1 on 1 "General of the Hill" on going.
Well after being robbed in the current tournaments of course im in! ;)
One of these days im going to win a tourney, ok, i won the Gunno Bunny 5000 point one after like... 2 years, but that wasnt an "official" one, and since you guys are all against me and rigging the games to stop me winning, maybe this one i'll foil your darsdidly plans :laugh:

Yes they would, but probably the usual 14 days without contact / MIA with your opponent = your victory +1 or 2 levels.
{BTW- thanks to all those current tourney players that have been VERY patient and want to play out their games with their MIA opponents.}

JUST TO START WITH. You can count me in if your planning it. I am still up to asisting or running it if you wish. I am sure these other guys who posted before could also fit in. I do think the going concern is that they be be quick games, due to the lenght of the other tourneys. Which I am sure we are all enjoying.

My understanding from the guys, is a short QB, pick their own 1500 points ,or so. Play one side then the other of the same date etc. Could limit them in Infantry only or something like that. Bring in the faithful Italians against the world. :smoke:

Very happy to join in whatever's going.
If you make it a 'double elimination' (random draw each round , you're only out when you've lost in two rounds) it means everyone gets to play at least two matches.
It's easier when you have a number of players which isn't a power of 2. You may still have one bye if there is an odd number of players in any round.
It also means it will be an indeterminate number of rounds until a winner is found, but probably only one round more than you would expect normally.
