Yes, American. The Tiger Brigade is the 1st Brigade of the US 2nd Armored Division.

At the time of the Gulf War the US Marines didn't own any M1 main battle tanks. They were still using M60A3s, but some of their units were rapidly re-equipped with the HA (heavy armor) version of the M1 Abrams from surplus Army stock. General Schwarzkopf felt the Marines had inadequate armor and aviation strength, so he assigned the Tiger Brigade to spearhead the attack into Kuwait.
