Hi guys,

Many of you are probably already aware of this book's existence, but for those who are not, I am about half way through Richard B Frank's "Guadalcanal" and IMHO it is one of the best military history books I have read. It would prove invaluable I would think to any RS scenario designers(making me think of attempting a scenario). It would be a major boon.

I picked up "Guadalcanal" a few weeks ago at a book sale at our library for all of a buck :). It looks like it hasn't been read; someone must have had the intent but not the willpower to read it! I've got it on my "to read" list along with everything else I've got stacked up. Glad to hear that it's very good, that will move it up on the list.

Right now I'm reading War Plan Orange (http://www.navalinstitute.org/webstore/shopexd.asp?id=18726) which is no page-turner either, but it's very good history. Not a lot of romance, though....

I found Frank's book to be a page-turner and very close to definitive.
