View Full Version : CMBB Slow Fatigue Recovery??
Both Palantir and I have noticed fatigue recovery in our current scenario to be seemingly non existant for veteran troops and above! I have troops that fatigued quickly and then show Tired for at least 6 or 7 & counting after movement stops. Is this slow recovery rate unique to CMBB? I have noticed MUCH faster recovery times in both BO & AK.

Does the map have snow in it? this can quickly tire out your troops especially if it's deep snow :(

yes, or in other severe weather conditions. (heat, rain etc.)
Hmm maybe heat...I will have to check. :freak: Is it getting hot in here or is it just me! lol... :D
From all reports I've come across, BB infantry are 'wimpier' then the other two. They seem to pin, panic, break, rout and tire noticably quicker.

I've noticed that with Russian infantry but not with German infantry, particularly Waffen SS infantry units. I'm guessing each inf unit type has different levels of fanaticism in the game, so Russian troops tend to break easily while German infantry doesn't break as easily under fire.
I just finished playing a nighttime assault scenario as the Russians where my veteran Russian inf broke after take close range MG fire while my Waffen SS opponents have had their position plastered with 85mm cannon fire from my T34's only to calmly pop up shortly afterwards and take pot shots at my advancing infantry.
Norad & I are playing my "Battle of the Bridges" scenario just ran in Round 3 with the same parameters. So if anyone from the Top Players Tourney can recall, did your units tire out quickly & stay that way?
We're almost finished & I think I have his Russians on the ropes.
But I think we've both seen our units fatigue & break quickly & then just take forever to recover.
Nope... I had my troops running all over the place and they got knackerd just like any other game :p
Have you by any chance bought unfit troops? Could have been a part of random selection?

Not at all ... :D You saw my units not even firing :D ...
that is strange... maybe you plotted some route for your units across the bridge directly? (I mean, no mid point on and before the bridges, but just across it one shot) ... If so, that might be the reason. You will see the units sitting next to the bridges and not moving forever and never recover. That is because they are actually "confused" and moving back and forth all the time without really change position. You need to tell those little stupid heroes what to do in this kind of cases (basically any narrow passes, esp. bridges.)

I know that giving units "a lot" of way points or changing orders will increase the delay time, and that the AI will sometimes make a billion little plots to get from point A to B when it's uncertain of the direct route, however-
Are you saying that the AI will dance a unit back & forth in "one spot" without any indication of this condition? If so what "tips" you off that it's confused besides it happens to still be sitting there?
As you said if you make "one plot" across a bridge the AI will sometimes make dozens of plots to get the unit across but, you can see those plots.
Does having the unit in command range help avoid this condition?

Ok, those are all out from my experience, i.e., they are "educated guesses", not anything from official battlefront websites.
Here are more guesses:
1) TACAI does sometimes plot more wps explicitly given difficult terrain. However, it does not always do so. There are cases it is so confused that it will start doing weird things without any indications plotted. (it is worst to have some tanks to do that and wander into enemy AT fires :D ... I had plenty of that kind of stories, but well, part of life ... :p )
2) I do not think a commander would help in any sense. Basically it is kinda a bug of the application. Not a feature. However, I admit it is a very difficult thing to do, so I am not blaming anyone on this.
