I started this thread to hear from my comrades as to what are the best ways in this game system to advance against the thermal sights of our opponents? Since I am in command of a very thin skinned unit any ideas that you can put forth will be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully you will mostly be given defensive assignements. But I just played a test against M60A3TTS tanks, and I got the following:
-You have to use whatever terrain you have, especially buildings and treelines near roads.
-You should wait until the enemy comes, so you get the first shot. (BMP-1 is actually better for this than BMP-2, 73mm gun many times penetrates M60 and Leo1)
-Infantry ambushes, or in smoky, burning cities sometimes you can get close to score a hit. RPG teams are the best for this "lurking."
-ATGM teams-they can position themselves without being seen, then launch.
-Air/artillery to dislodge them, and then get them from ambush positions on the move.
Dont do battlest at night.
Well, if they what they say is right, then the patch will bring the possibility to block vision 40+ equipment with multiple layers of smoke, and burning vehicles.
So then it would make sense to smoke in the area right around the enemy heavily and then close to knife fighting range.

It was a very good idea to start a thread on this isssue.
I think waiting for the patch is a must but of course we have to continue experiencing until then.
I would have saud the same Pannonicus said :).
+Use of the Vis40 Hinds with ATGM.
