Kissa, where did you buy COW? We try to see if anyone still has the game besides Take-2.

I'll play with you any side but i play one turn (minimum) per day. Can you do the same?
@siberian heat
Nope - regardless of the search Take2 is the only place there is copies to order:(
@chaser
eee...I wold really like to see how to attack successfully in COW;) Got used to murderous arty in TOAW 1 (evapped inf units due to arty fire from two-three ships - Cow seems to be much more modest about arty - and more realistic too:) )
Great to see overrunning is updated:) earlier it was a _pain_
PS. what are supply-draining attacks?
what are main _new_ bugs/annoyances?
So I am waiting for the turn then...and fear my a** is going to be fried...

oh so you are brand new as your COW copy :)
There is no major bug of the current version that concerns me. and there are certain "a-bit-strange" things in various situations, but rather, they all could be considered "features" and be resolved by house rules ahead of playing.
For 2innorm231, there is not much such chance. The only house rule was the one in the briefing: no interdiction with the two heavy bomber units. (Allies only, Axis has no air power.)
Supply drain attack: using AA or AT or other types of light units setting at minimum loss limited attack into enemy concentrated hexes (perferrably) supported by large artillery, air assets.
This type of attack achieves many things:
1. To soft target, the effect to enemy could be devastating. (not as much as in TOAW I, but still great)
2. To ALL enemy targets, they would be sucked into the battle round and thus all consume 10% supply. Repeating this type of attack (by a competent player), it will soon reduce the enemy units down to their minimum status.
3. This usually lead to very few combat rounds consumed since your attack units were usually "passive defenders" and will withdraw very fast. And thus achieve high # of multi round turns (to the extreme case, like Mantis the Evil, 28 rounds per turn.)
4. A good control of your own loss, even if that light unit evaporated in the attack, since usually it only had 1+1 attack, it does not affect anything to your real fighting power at all.

And finally, I will send you the turn when I get home :) ... but I'd rather take this one as a practice for you ---- so that you can get familiar with the new system, is that ok? :)

oh I am sorry .. so sorry, ... I completely forgot the issue last night .... actually until I saw this thread just now.. ( you know I am one lazy sick .... ;p ) ... sigh, but this thing just reminds me one other truly sad thing: I may now add another adjactive to that list: old....:cry:
anyway, I will ... at least try to ... remember to send it to you tonight. BTW, again, I am using 1.04. (so if you are using 1.04 or up, no problem... but if lower, you will have to upgrade it to 1.04, otherwise, it won't run.) ;)

sigh.. Kissa, this time it is your problem .... what is your email? Or did you register in the ladder at all? I cannot find your email anywhere ... so .... the turn still sleeps in the save folder. :hog:
...and I dont think it is even important...ladder play can poison playing to the level that nothing is holy;) - even your men;) anyway my mail is kissa@neti.ee.
I want to relive / roleplay the historical scenarios:)
btw I still wait for WEGO operational wargame, Matrix games is developing "Battlefields!" what do You think about it?

haha.. finally you are back :)
I will get it to you tonight.
Yes, actually I am applying for playtesting for Battlefield, but they did not give me any feedback yet. Strange... they say they are short of people... I do not know if there is any special tricks or things I should pay attention to when applying playtesting. ;p
