Gentlemen, we are getting close to me setting these up but I do not want to do it too soon. Once I do and begin assigning access it will be very important for the team members to speak up (via PM or email to me) about ANY breach of security they feel has occured or is occuring. In other words, any players who drops out after having been given access should be considered a security risk. Most likely this will occur by them accidentally posting secure content in non-secure areas in response to questions from interested non-participants or sneaky enemy team members. :devious:

There are some things that WILL continue in the OPEN forums especially the OOB threads. You can discuss them in the secure areas BUT all "Official" starting OOB's, Air Assets, etc will be known to both sides. I encourage both sides to review each others OOB's for comparison and comments. IMHO, this is the best way to keep it as fair and balanced for all sides as possible.

They are now set up as subforums to this forum and are titled;

NATO v WP: NATO Forum (Secure)
NATO v WP: WP Forum (Secure)

Can anyone see them yet? They would be located above where you entered this thread.

Nope can't see them :(Good! I didn't want to make them visible to the general population yet so that means I must have set them up right and with the proper permission and security settings. :D

Now I know what I'm doing I can move forward fleshing them out and then begin granting access.

Yes, but if they are invisible, are they really there :nuts: or do you think they are there :laugh:

Is this some sort of new psychological warfare/deception tactic? If so, it's working! :crosseye: I surrender!

Is this some sort of new psychological warfare/deception tactic? Sorry for the trickery guys. :devious:.

Whenever I do one of these and I begin setting up the secure areas I try to keep them hidden until I am ready to roll them out. During that time I would query the forum with "Can anyone see them?" It frequently happens that the 1st post is by some saying "Are we supposed to see them?" Naturally my conspiracy mentality kicks in and I start thinking I screwed up and they are not secure at all. Then I spend the next 2-3 days redoing and rechecking every possible forum setting. :mad:

I have just given a couple of you on each team access to the secure areas. I need you to go into them and try to post in the Commander Sign-in thread.

NOTE: This does not mean you are being volunteered to be Force/Team Commanders. It's just that I need a couple of players to test the settings on the forums (i.e. access and posting permission settings).

The basic Secure Sub-forum structures are now in place. Those who whom I have given access for testing of security/permissions should see them. You cannot post BUT should see them.

Since things in the new subforum SEEM to be working OK, I will begin giving access to those signed up and still hanging around. Once you have it you should start seeing the extra subforums near the top of your screen similar to the way the Island Civil War one is set up. Many of the sub-subforums are not yet open BUT should be visible once you are inside the main secure forums.

If any of you who are on the current roster are not seeing these by Wednesday of this week please let me know.

And I can actually post in it! (not like in the Civil War ones after some time...)

You better surrender now - maybe you will reach a Hong-Kong-like settlement with us for the next 30-40 years before we introduce communism...
