Not sure the Airborne unit will be included in the final cut though. :D

I would take them under HQ direct control. They have a lot of good uses including operational recon, or a secret Ace in a decisive battle...

I will double check BUT I could not find these in the basic Hungarian OOB formation Purchase screens.

Is there a change with the CD Version that allows the selection of these? I know its more realistic and accurate BUT is SPMBT set up this way?

BMP-1 is in the game, I checked it. D44 is not, although it is 100% that it was used in Mech Inf Regiments (Division had an arty regiment, they had 100mm guns). Take the one from North Korea, they would be perfectly the same!

After giving some thought to the issue, I came up with the following. My forces would consist of two basic elements:
1 MRB
1 TB

Both of them are somewhat "reinforced" as they include some regimental assets, such as arty and air defence, as well as a recon unit. Still I think they are easier to manage now, and more self-contained, therefore in the campaign it will be easier to move them without breaking their structure.

I took out completely airborne and helicopter units, they must be with HQ, as they are too valuable.

Historically, it is pretty accurate now, except the 4 (Wpn) Co/14th Mech Inf Bat, which usually did not exist with units equipped with BMP, but only with units equipped with PSZH (D-944). With PSZH units its purpose was to give an extra anti-armor punch, since they lacked both Malyutka as well as 73mm 2A40 Grom gun. Nevertheless, I included such a unit to compensate for taking out the AT Platoon.

Finally I decided to use 2S1, since I realized that they were used from 1979. While D-20 and BM-21 was also used, those weapons were in a separate Regiment, directly under Army HQ. 2S1, on the contrary served in Mech Rifle and Tank Regiments, therefore they are more suitable for this scenario.

I have added another MRB to the Hungarian OOB BUT I have removed the Airmobile Company. While I would like to include them I think the airmobile capacity will unbalance the campaign.
